Meet the incredibly sweet and delightful Maisie. She was rescued by RSPCA Officers due to welfare concerns and when she arrived with us, her coat was was very matted, she had a very sore mouth and she was very underweight.

She had dental surgery and a haircut to help her feel happy and comfortable and after a few weeks of tasty food, love and care from our fantastic team, she is now on the hunt for her new home.

Maisie can be a little nervous initially but with time and patience it doesn`t take her long to relax and show her true fun loving self. She is very tactile and craves human contact forming very strong bonds with her favourite people. Anyone taking her on will also need to be happy to keeping up with her coat maintenance (she will need regular clipping) and confidence building.

Maisie seems to enjoy spending time with other dogs and may be suitable to living with another calm and confident canine housemate but she`d prefer a friend with a similar personality. Someone happier to have a gentle explore together rather than rough and tumble play.

We are looking for a home for Maisie where any children are secondary school age as she is a little nervous. She may never have lived in a home environment, so she needs to be able to settle into her new home at her own pace, with the love and support of her new owners. We will monitor any meet and greets carefully to make sure everyone is happy before she leaves to start her new life.
